JOHANNESBURG (miningweekly.com) – The Blue Ridge platinum mine near Groblersdal on Monday delivered its first concentrate to Impala Refining Services, junior platinum-miner Ridge Mining announced.
The mine is due to reach its full yearly capacity of 125 000 oz of platinum, palladium, rhodium and gold in concentrate during the third quarter of this year.
Impala has committed to acquire all the proposed production from the Blue Ridge mine.
CEO Terence Wilkinson commented that the shipping of concentrate was a “major milestone” for the Blue Ridge mine.
