JOHANNESBURG (miningweekly.com) – The World Federation of Diamond Bourses (WFDB) has re-elected president Ernie Blom for a third consecutive term, though it decided to replace VP Julien Drybooms with Israeli Diamond Exchange President Yoram Dvash, following unanimous votes at the recent thirty-seventh World Diamond Congress, in Dubai.

The bourse member association announced on Tuesday that Drybooms, who was appointed Honorary Life VP, was now deputy treasurer general. Michel Schonfeld would serve as deputy secretary general, with Louise Prior named executive director.

Further, the WFDB presented the Diamantaire of the Year award to Willy Rotti, while Dieter Hahn and former London Diamond Bourse president Harry Levy received special awards in recognition of their long-standing service to the WFDB and the wider diamond industry.
