Bigen, an innovative, solutions-focused infrastructure development Group and influential contributor to socio-economic development across Africa, has been rated a Level 1 status by MPower Ratings, a firm which measures companies in terms of the BBBEE Act Codes of Good Conduct.

As an empowerment-focused Group, Bigen, is thrilled to have achieved an increase in black ownership from 31% to 51% (including 14% black women) over the past three years and will persevere in its proactive efforts toward transformation and empowerment throughout its employee ranks.

Dr Snowy Khoza, Executive Chairperson of Bigen, comments, “The Group’s recruitment policies, employee development programmes and ownership strategy have been meticulously implemented to maximise transformation outcomes and achieve a Level One BBBEE rating.” This is in addition to winning the Standard Bank Top Gender Empowered Company in Infrastructure Development award and Top Male Driving Gender Empowerment by our Chief Executive Officer, Anton Boshoff.”
