TSE-listed Anvil Mining on Thursday announced the appointment of Dr Toby Bradbury as the vice-president of operations in the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC). Bradbury would succeed Malcolm Hillbeck who would be retiring later this year.

Bradbury has over 25 years of international experience in the mining and minerals sectors in South Africa, the UK and Australia across a broad range of commodities. For the past five years, he provided corporate, strategic, operating and risk management guidance to mining businesses throughout Australia, China and South Africa.

Previous employment roles in Australia included GM of mining for HWE Mining and GM of opencut operations for Glencore Coal Australia, the forerunner to Xstrata Coal.

Anvil Mining is an unhedged copper and silver producer which shares are listed for trading on the Toronto and Australian Stock Exchanges. It has majority interests in, and operates, the Dikulushi copper/silver mine, the Kinsevere copper mine, and the Kulu copper tailings operation in the Katanga province of the DRC.
