Coetzer will initially divide his time between Braemore and Anglo Platinum, where he has been employed for 16 years. This transitional arrangement will continue until he takes up his position on a full-time basis on September 1.
Braemore states that Coetzer has, throughout his career, managed both technical and production units of large operations, including both platinum concentrators and smelters. He has also been appointed lead engineer for the design of Anglo Platinum’s largest UG2 concentrator.
“[Coetzer’s] expertise will greatly strengthen our capabilities to execute the strategy of growing company value through the development of both its platinum and nickel projects,” comments Braemore chairperson David Humann.
