JOHANNESBURG (miningweekly.com) – AltX-listed mining services company the Alliance Mining Corporation announced on Thursday that it has established a new empowered company in Namibia.
The company said in a statement to shareholders that it had successfully negotiated a partnership with a subsidiary of the Namibian empowerment group EPiA Holdings, EPiA Minerals, which would see the formation of the Alliance Mining Corporation Namibia (Amcon).
Alliance Mining held a 70% stake in Amcon, with EPiA Minerals holding the balance.
Amcon would enable Alliance Mining to extend its footprint and business model across Southern Africa, it stated.
Besides the current service divisions, Amcon would also form associated service partnerships with other Namibian companies, in order to provide the full circle of services, not only to the mining sector, but also towards agriculture, infrastructure and affordable housing projects.
