Liquid Telecom is the leading independent data, voice and IP provider in eastern, central and southern Africa. It supplies fibre optic, satellite and international carrier services to Africa’s largest mobile network operators, ISPs and businesses of all sizes. It also offers payment solutions to financial institutions and retailers, as well as award winning data storage and communication solutions to businesses across Africa and beyond.

Liquid Telecom has built Africa’s largest independent fibre network which runs from the north of Uganda to Cape Town, covering Africa’s fastest-growing economies, where no fixed network has existed before. The network currently spans over 24,000km across borders, growing at a rate of 100km per week and offering the lowest latency and the best SLAs on the continent. The network includes The East Africa Fibre Ring, the first regional fibre ring on the continent, improving Internet resilience for the whole region with previously unavailable routing options.

Liquid Telecom also invests heavily in its people, employing over 1000 team members, 92% of whom are based in operations across Africa. Everything we do is driven by a simple yet powerful belief that everyone in Africa has the right to be connected; connectivity isn’t for the privileged few, it’s an entitlement for everyone.

Liquid Telecom’s network provides connectivity onto the five main subsea cable systems landing in Africa; WACS, EASSY, SEACOM, SAT3 and TEAMs.

Working under various retail, wholesale and enterprise brands, the Liquid Telecom Group has operating entities in Botswana, DRC, Kenya, Mauritius, Rwanda, South Africa, Uganda, UK, Zambia and Zimbabwe.

Among many other global awards, the company has been named Best African Wholesale Carrier for the last four consecutive years at the annual Global Carrier Awards.
